The Patient Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accuracy in all business transactions and upholding the values set forth by The Dental Care Center Mission Statement.

Responsibilities:
Answering the phone in a friendly tone Appointment Reminder Calls for Unconfirmed Appointments Assisting with Patient Needs Scheduling Appointments for New Patients, Existing Patients, and Emergency Patients in accordance with company scheduling guidelines Monitor schedule for discrepancies Update working schedule for Doctors/Hygienist Rescheduling patients due to a change in Doctors/Hygienist schedule Sending Referrals via HIPAA Compliant Email system to specialists with necessary x-rays and relevant patient history Maintain a neat environment in the reception area, patient restrooms and employee areas Replace and discard old magazines, Disinfect children toys, and Replace toiletries Contribute to End of Day Closing procedures with Office Coordinator and Treatment Coordinator Check-in New Patients and Existing Patients Mailing New Patient Welcome Cards and WOW Cards daily Access Digital New Patient Forms in Portal and import into patient's Document Center Enter Patient Demographics for New Patients upon receiving New Patient Forms Update Patient Demographics for Existing Patients Assign appropriate Family Bill Type based on Insurance Change the Appointment Card Status to the appropriate color to indicate arrival Collect Co-payments upon arrival Send medical clearances for patients with compromised health histories Request Records from Previous Dental office, if applicable Check-out Patients and collect any changes in Co-payment Perform Treatment Consult, if applicable in the absence of Treatment Coordinator Discussing dental benefits when applicable Job Type:
